Meet Lindy Nash!

Recently elected to the CGP Board of Directors and named Partner in the Bequest Management practice at Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick (CCK)(aka CCK Bequest), Lindy Nash and her team represent nonprofit organizations and charities across the country. The CCK team aims to maximize every bequest distribution, minimize risk, and reduce any administrative strain on the organization.

"We collect and then review every gift instrument, every financial document, and every receipt or release with a fine-tooth comb," Nash explains. "We're looking for ambiguities or red flags that may jeopardize our client’s bequest. When we find these issues, we address them quickly and efficiently so our client’s gift is fully protected."

This attention to detail is particularly important when managing cases that involve multiple beneficiaries. Whether exchanging information or serving as a united front, collaborating with other charitable beneficiaries allows for new perspectives and strategies ensuring the donor’s wishes are met.

"I have the pleasure of working with nonprofits that make the world a better place," Nash explains. "Whether that's impacting a local community or helping a family in another country, our clients change lives. The fact that I get to support them and play even the tiniest part is a dream come true.”

Based in Rhode Island with her husband and two-and-a-half-year-old son, they spend weekends exploring children's museums, playing outside or making routine trips to Target—which she admits can be an adventure in itself. With two cats and a love for animals, she's deeply committed to the Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL), serving as Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees and supporting their mission to help homeless animals.

Her commitment to community extends beyond her roles with CCK and the Providence Animal Rescue League. Lindy was recently elected to the CGP Board of Directors and serves as Vice President of Programming on the Executive Board of the Planned Giving Group of New England. Balancing these commitments with her legal practice and family time requires structured time management.

“I live by my calendar,” Lindy shares. “I try to carve out chunks of time and dedicate that block to one project, case, or new client initiative."

Whether she's diving into the latest report for a discussion with the CGP Board of Directors or reviewing a complex bequest from a client, dedicated time on her calendar allows her to give her best to each organization. Additionally, the unwavering support from her family, CCK and the organizations she’s involved with have been instrumental to her work-life balance.

Lindy emphasizes the importance of participating in the gift planning community. "There are so many wonderful allied professionals in the planned giving space," she says. Highlighting the CGP Link as a prime example where colleagues share advice, templates, and strategies, she encourages others to network and build connections. "This community is full of people who have incredible expertise. Reach out and ask for help!”

As she looks to the year ahead, Lindy and her team remain committed to providing excellent service to CCK’s current clients while growing the practice. "We want to be a resource for the planned giving community," she says. "It's such a pleasure to be part of this collaborative and kind group. It's unlike any other—a rising tide raises all ships here.”

Thank you to Lindy for sharing her experience with CGP. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Lindy, say hello using the CGP Link or LinkedIn.
