Presenters: Rodney Parks

Date: September 27, 2022

Time: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EST

The greatest wealth transfer in history is underway. It’s estimated that nearly 45 million U.S. households will transfer more than $68 trillion over the next 25 years. Our alumni, friends and supporters are recipients, thanks to decades of private business, stock market and real estate growth. Individuals or families of minority (racial, ethnic, women and LGBTQIA) status are among those engaged in transferring income and assets to support causes or concerns that can include family, religion, education or nonprofits. This wealth transfer will be the greatest transfer of wealth from diverse communities ever, shaping universities, nonprofits and other organizations for the next 50 years. Is your institution or next campaign positioned for this historic wealth transformation? Does your mission or value statement reflect kindly to these diverse communities? Do have the personnel who have relationships in these communities? Do you have questions about how to facilitate this conversation to board members, valued stakeholders and other potential donors? This session will offer strategies for success for this critical opportunity.
