CGP Advocacy Update

Guest presenter Kelly Hellmuth, partner at Holland & Knight, and members of the team at Integer, our DC-based partners, will present information on Florida state law SB 700 which prohibits nonprofits registered to solicit donations from accepting donations from individuals or entities associated with "foreign countries of concern". Kelly will discuss the implications for charities registered to solicit contributions, or that have funds solicited on their behalf, in Florida, and what is required for compliance. 

About Kelly L. Hellmuth:

Kelly L. Hellmuth is a partner at Holland & Knight LLP in Jacksonville, Florida. She focuses her practice on charitable and nonprofit issues on a national scale and represents tax-exempt organizations as well as high-net-worth individuals doing charitable planning and giving. Ms. Hellmuth is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and since 2019, the Florida Bar has certified Ms. Hellmuth as a Board Certified Specialist in Tax.

Ms. Hellmuth received her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Ms. Hellmuth is admitted to the bar in Florida, Virginia, California, and the District of Columbia.
