Breakout Session- Membership Recruitment and Retention- There is no magic answer for how to recruit and retain members. It takes planning, engagement and follow up. Learn how your board of volunteers can help ensure your membership is strong.

Breakout Session- Partnering with Local AFP Chapters and Other Organizations- Learn from councils who have successfully partnered with their local AFP chapters to co-host meeting and conferences and find out the benefits of the partnership.

Breakout Session- Council Diversity Discussion- Every council should be thinking about the diversity within their council. Gender, ethnicity, age and type of organization is important to ensure your council is serving all types of charitable gift planners. Diversity also plays a role in the types of programs and speakers your council hosts. Sit down with other council leaders for a discussion on this important topic.

5:30 pm - 6:15 pm Evening Reception in the Atrium 
6:15 pm - 7:15 pm Optional Evening Event- Join fellow Summit attendees for a fun evening exploring the places and spaces haunted by a Midwest serial killer, local 1900 gangs, and ghosts. We'll end the tour at the historic Slippery Noodle Inn, the oldest bar in Indiana, where the food is good and the music is live nightly (dinner is on your own).

Roadmap for Council Leaders to Success- As a one or even two-term council leader it's hard to get anything accomplished. In this session, we are asking Summit attendees to come prepared with the top three things they would like to accomplish during their term. We will start the morning sharing those goals and then move into two mini sessions. First attendees will create a roadmap with specific action items that will help them achieve their goals. Then we will get in groups to brainstorm and share your experiences working towards the goals of other councils. We will end this session with asking leaders to share their plans.
